Aja Out, Fincher in for Black Hole

Based on Charles Burns’ graphic novel



Alexandre Aja has dropped out of the running for the feature adaptation of “Black Hole” by Charles Burns. Zodiac and Se7en helmer David Fincher is now attached to direct, says Variety. The flick was initially housed at MTV Films, but Paramount will take it under its wing for development.

The story concerns a sexually transmitted “bug” is passed from teenager to teenager (more here).

Roger Avary and Neil Gaiman were tapped to adapt the screenplay in March 2006.
