NBC’s anthology series rolls cameras
NBC and Lionsgate’s scary summer series “Fear Itself” is getting ready to roll.
Shock has learned principal photography begins today on “Eater,” Stuart Gordon’s installment. If you recall, writers Johnathan Schaech and Richard Chizmar filled us in on this chapter in December (more details).
As for those waiting in the wings, previously announced (here) directors Brad Anderson and John Carpenter are on board – and we hear Tobe Hooper is still negotiating his involvement. (For details on Carpenter’s episode, visit this story.) Meanwhile, Bloody-Disgusting reports, and we can confirm, Mary Harron, Breck Eisner, Ernest Dickerson and Ronny Yu are contributing episodes as well.
Sources tell us producers Andrew Deane, Adam Goldworm, Keith Addis and Ben Browning are eschewing the tone of “Masters of Horror” in favor of more “Hitchcock-style thrills.”
