There’s a new benefit on the block called “Cut! 2008 – A celebration of cinema dedicated to the art and imagination that goes into the creation of film.” The event runs March 29th and 30th at the New Beverly Cinema (7165 Beverly Blvd.) in Los Angeles.

JAMES GUNN EXTRAVAGANZA!

Presented by JGAS Events: James Gunn and friends gather together for a scary good time with slugs, aliens and the undead. On hand will be zombies (with make-up by the special effects team from MastersFX) milling around the crowd for scares and photo ops as well as a JGAS raffle and auction featuring autographed items pertaining to the film.

Writer and director, James Gunn will be screening his film followed by a Q&A panel with star Michael Rooker and other cast members, along with the film’s composer Tyler Bates and special effects wizard Todd Masters.

Proceeds from this mini-film fest will go to the non-profit organization Kids Kicking Cancer and the Shriners Hospital for Children.
