How hip can an anesthesiologist get?
According to Variety, actress Liza Lapira landed a place in Repossession Mambo. In the sci-fi thriller she’ll play a “hip anesthesiologist” – not my words, hence the quotes. Lapira’s career, up to this point, is laden with television work – “The Sopranos,” “Huff” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” being the most notable shows.
She joins Jude Law, Forest Whitaker and Alice Braga. Miguel Sapochnik is directing the film for Universal Pictures. Law stars as a repo man made up of artificial organs, who receives a heart transplant. When he struggles to make the payments, he must go on the run from his former partner.
