Shooting is underway on Painted Skin, a big-budget supernatural thriller starring Donnie Yen and Zhou Xun (“The Banquet”) that we first told you about here.
The story involves a vampire-like woman who eats the skins and hearts of her lovers.
Gordon Chan has replaced co-helmers Wilson Yip Wai-shun and Andy Chin Wing-keung in the director’s chair. Tung Wai takes the action choreography role. Shooting will continue until February and release is skedded for Christmas 2008.
