Fangland Closer to Reality

Wheaton wraps script, Swank to star

Damn, was it really back in May when this broke?

Variety confirms actress Hilary Swank (The Reaping) is eyeing to star in Fangland, an adaptation of John Marks’ novel. Writer Mark Wheaton turned a screenplay in pre-strike (natch) and producing entities Das Films and Blumhouse Prods are looking to get the picture rolling.

The role for Swank would be Evangline Harker, a woman sent to interview a vamp doubling as an arms dealer.

Wheaton recently penned this year’s Ghost House offering The Messengers. His script, Unfinished Country, has attracted the attention of Sam Jackson who will be starring in the film for Blue Star Pictures and Inferno Entertainment.
