Trailer for Belgian horror-comedy
976-EVIL (a film mentioned way too much around here) and good ol’ ’80s teen comedies appear to serve as the inspiration for Hellphone, a new film directed by James Huth.
What makes this horror-comedy notable is that it’s the latest script from Jean-Baptiste Andrea, co-director and co-writer of the yuletide haunter Dead End starring Ray Wise and Lyn Shaye. Since then he helmed the crime comedy Big Nothing with David Schwimmer and Shaun of the Dead‘s Simon Pegg.
Hellphone is a simple lil’ diddy about a boy and his devilish phone with powers. Click on the title for a trailer. Apparently the film was released on DVD last month, domestic distribution is unknown.
