Shawnee Smith and more sign up for Garcia’s latest
Dominique Swain is out (due to scheduling conflicts) and Erica Leerhsen is in for the leading role in Victor Garcia’s Slaughter.
The news trickled into The Hollywood Reporter that Leerhsen is being joined by Shawnee Smith (the “Saw” franchise) and AnnaLynne McCord. The trio will play actresses who unwittingly commit to a project that turns out to be a Japanese snuff film. Whoops. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and Eugenia Yuan have been cast as said seedy celluloid’s director and producer, respectively. Karl Yune and Jonathan Trent co-star.
Garcia begins shooting soon for Maverick Red based on a script by Nathan Brookes and Bobby Darby.
