Stevan Mena is sticking to his guns. When his brooding indie serial killer effort Malevolence first hit DVD via Anchor Bay, the writer/director clarified that the story was merely the middle section of a trilogy and other installments were on the way. Here we are, a few years after the film’s bow and Mena is currently in Pennsylvania lensing Malevolence 2: Bereavement.

Fangoria‘s got the low-down on the casting news and according to them Michael Biehn (Planet Terror) is starring the follow-up with Brett Rickaby, Martin Bristol, Kathryn Meisle (Basket Case 2), John Savage (The Thin Red Line), Nolan Funk (Hollow Man 2 and Alexandra Daddario.

Where Malevolence concerns a group of bank robbers who fall victim to a house of serial killers, the sequel will journey back in time through killer Graham Sutter’s history and the kidnapping of his young protégé Martin Bristol.
