Based on the Korean horror film

According to Variety, leading Korean indie distribber Mirovision has moved into new gear with a U.S. remake deal and the reactivation of its production slate. The company has struck a deal with NHO Entertainment for an English-language remake of its 2005 horror pic APT. NHO’s Mark Costa and Ford Oelman expect to announce the attachment of major director within the month.

In the original film, directed by Byeong-ki Ahn, a young woman who lives in an old apartment in a Seoul suburb, amuses herself by observing the windows of the apartments on the other side. One day, she notices that the lights of some of these apartments are turned off at the very same time. She begins to suspect that this pattern is somehow related to a series of mysterious deaths in the neighborhood. She becomes more and more deeply involved as she attempts to solve the mystery.
