Final Destination 2‘s David Ellis directing
Superman‘s Brandon Routh will play Dylan Dog in the film Dead of Night, which is based on the popular Italian graphic novels “Dylan Dog” created by Tiziano Sclavi. Arclight Films is shepherding the project along.
On board to direct? Final Destination 2 and Snakes on a Plane‘s David Ellis, who is working from a script by Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly. The film is budgeted at $35 million (!) and begins shooting in Connecticut shortly.
The Dylan Dog character served as the inspiration for Michele Soavi’s Cemetery Man in 1994 and was embodied by actor Rupert Everett. In the comic book, Dylan is a supernatural investigator who takes on evil with his partner Felix.
