Arriving in February from Myriad Pictures
Here it is, Argento-philes. This film needs no introduction to devoted Shock readers so we’ll make this short and sweet. Myriad Pictures shot us the theatrical trailer for Dario’s Mother of Tears which is currently enjoying its run in Italy.
In the third chapter of the horror maestro’s “three mothers” legacy, actress (and daughter) Asia Argento plays an art student trying to prevent the spread of Mater Lachrymarum’s evil throughout Rome.
Myriad is releasing the film uncut (hurray!) in select U.S. cities next February. A DVD release will follow later in 2008 via The Weinstein Company. Click on the title above for the poster, the teaser trailer and production stills.
