Indie feature begins shooting
Chucky may have met his politically incorrect rival in Black Devil Doll, a new indie feature directed by Jonathan Lewis that’s fixin’ to sock you in the nuts this fall.
No relation to – and I’m sure a complete 180 turn to – Lindsay Shonteff’s 1964 Devil Doll, the story concerns, “five naive young women who are raped, abused and tortured by an evil jive-ass talking ventriloquist doll possessed by the spirit of an executed black militant death row inmate.”
Pushing the proverbial buttons of good taste is producer Shawn Lewis (of Rotten Cotton) who co-penned the script with Mitch Mayes. Busty babes Heather Murphy, Natasha Talonz, Vicky Blaze and Precious Cox star as, presumably, the naive dames who run across the pint-sized terror.
