Action-horror vid game up for adaptation
Writer Ben McCaw has been scooped up by Guy Walks into Bar (actual production company name) to adapt DreamCatcher Interactive’s PC videogame Painkiller for the big screen.
A first-person shooter, the story merged action and demonic mayhem with one man caught in a battle between Heaven and Hell. Jon Berg and Todd Komarnicki (Elf) will produce.
McCaw is a newcomer whose feature, Gideon’s Vault, was a screenplay finalist at the Austin Film Festival.
