Mason Swims Up Blood River

Devil’s Chair director tackles marriage

Leonidas Films announced this morning that Broken creative team Adam Mason and Simon Boyes will return for Blood River (not to be confused with this Blood River), a psychological thriller written by the pair. Mason is attached to direct; Timothy Cavanaugh, Lee Librado and Eric Aulabaugh will produce for Leonidas.

A cryptic synopsis speaks in broad terms, but “River” is said to be about the destruction of a young couple’s seemingly perfect marriage. Shooting begins next month.

Mason, the latest genre director to hail from England, is enjoying a recent increase in exposure especially now that his last feature, The Devil’s Chair, is on the Midnight Movies roster at the Toronto International Film Festival.
