Avary clarifies status on vid game follow-up
Last week’s Silent Hill 2 piece generated much speculation across the web that the proposed sequel was crumbling.
Not so, as Silent Hill scribe Roger Avary explains, “‘Silent Hill 2’ isn’t in any kind of trouble, and they didn’t lose their writer since I was never hired to do it in the first place. Christophe [Gans] is still guiding the project, Samuel Hadida and Andrew Mason are still producing. I have another project with Samuel, which I’m directing, and I’m giving it priority. Again, ‘Silent Hill 2’ isn’t in trouble, and may in fact come together faster without me considering my schedule.”
