NYC targeted for destruction…again
Christ, I hope none of this is one big monstrous joke because I’m sooo ready for some giant monster action that was in no way whetted by Roland Emmerich’s Godzilla. That’s right. I brought that abomination up.
In an update regarding Cloverfield, a film that jumped onto our radar here, AICN’s Moriarity clarifies J.J. Abrams is not directing the supposed monster film and Drew Goddard (“Lost,” “Alias”) is writing the script.
A trailer, shot before a frame of real film footage was set to celluloid, may sneak onto prints of Transformers. Here’s what an AICN scooper who saw the trailer had to say. Seen through the lens of a home video camera, “A huge earthquake breaks up a going away party. The people at the party go to the roof top just in time to catch lower Manhatten erupt into a ball of fire! They make their way to the street to witness the head of the statue of liberty fly down the street, end clip with screaming!
No word yet on who is directing.
