Strathairn Fathers Two Sisters

Joins Banks in American remake

This guy has knocked me out ever since playing “Whistler” in Sneakers; his Academy Award-nominated turn as Edward Murrow in Good Night, and Good Luck ain’t too shabby either.

David Strathairn has been cast opposite Elizabeth Banks (Slither) in the Tale of Two Sisters remake. Under Thomas and Charles Guard’s direction, he’ll play the father of two young girls on the mend from a recent hospital stay. Their screwed up stepmother and a ghost prevent that from happening, however.

Shooting begins next month and it appears as if two more writers have entered the fold. Carlo Bernard (The Great Raid) and Adam Goodman are being credited for rewrites; Craig Rosenberg penned the script.
