MGM preps new DVD
MGM Home Video is releasing a new two-disc special edition of Philip Kaufman’s late-’70s “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” starring Donald Sutherland, Brooke Adams, Leonard Nimoy and Jeff Goldblum. Disc one will include a feature commentary track with Kaufman, meanwhile disc two will include the following featurettes: Re-Visitors from Outer Space or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Pod, Practical Magic: The Special Effect Pod, The Man Behind the Scream: The Sound Effects Pod, The Invasion Will Be Televised: The Cinematography Pod. The disc streets on August 7th.
Now, how about that re-issue of Abel Ferrara’s “Body Snatchers”?
