Viper’s Expendable at Intrepid

Based on the 2006 graphic novel

Viper Comics’ The Expendable One – by Jason Burns and Bryan Baugh – has been picked up by Intrepid Pictures.

Screenwriters Shane Kuhn and Brendan Cowles will adapt the story which focuses on a townie, Twigs Dupree, who injects himself with serum that makes him immortal. With this gift he begins to clean up his town, but when the CIA recognizes the power he holds they send him out into the field to track down a serial killer.

Now, if the film is to be anything like the graphic novel, said killer is a cult leader known as “The Animal.”

Intrepid’s Marc D. Evans and Trevor Macy are producing. Burns and Baugh will make their directorial debut with Drive-Thru, a horror pic for Lionsgate and Rogue.
