E3: Details & Trailers From the PlayStation 4 Press Conference

Sony made some major announcements towards the end of their presentation that will likely have Xbox fans think twice about purchasing an Xbox One. They said the PlayStation 4 won’t impose any new restrictions on used PS4 games. Also, if you enjoy single-player games offline, the PS4 won’t require you to “check in” online periodically. PS4 games won’t stop working if you have authenticated in 24 hours.

They said that your PlayStation Plus membership will carry over to the PS4 as well. The PS Plus Instant Game Collection was confirmed for the PS4 and the first game will be Drive Club, which will be available at launch.

But they saved the biggest announcement for less. The PlayStation 4 will be just $399, €399 or £349. Earlier in the day, Microsoft announced that the Xbox One would be $499.

You can pre-order the PlayStation 4 at Amazon.com.
