Spider-Man Tries To Set the Record Straight in the Latest PS4 Trailer

In the latest trailer to get fans hyped up for Marvel’s Spider-Man, out September 7th on PS4, Spider-Man tries to set the record straight. The trailer starts with noted Spidey critic and Daily Bugle boss J. Jonah Jameson doing a radio show where he (of course) publicly calls Spider-Man a menace, saying he’s brought more crime than he’s stopping. He even goes so far as to defend Wilson Fisk, better known as The Kingpin, as a man who kept the order in New York’s underworld.

Peter Parker, using the alias Ben Reilly, calls in to defend his alter-ego, while trying to explain that he really is the good guy in all this. While Jameson will hear nothing of the sort, we see a montage of the game’s scenes showing Spidey defending New York against those very costumed villains Jameson is ranting about.

Marvel and Insomniac Games have teamed up to create a brand-new and authentic Spider-Man story. This isn’t the Spider-Man you’ve met before, or seen in a movie. This is an experienced Peter Parker who’s more masterful at fighting big crime in New York City. At the same time, he’s struggling to balance his chaotic personal life and career while the fate of nine million New Yorkers rests upon his shoulders.
