Red Dead Redemption 2 Delayed Again, Out in October

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed yet again. In a statement by Rockstar Games, the development studio says the much-anticipated sequel to the hit 2010 cowboy video game will now release on October 26, 2018.

Its original announcement in 2016 had it pegged to come out in fall 2017. Midway through 2017, another announcement came, stating the delay of its release to spring 2018.

Hardcore fans of the studio have come to expect these release dates getting pushed back. Grand Theft Auto V was slated for a spring 2013 launch, but it was delayed to September of that year. The first Red Dead Redemption also suffered a delay, with its original release date of April 2010 moved a month later. Of course, this doesn’t make the wait for Red Dead Redemption 2 any easier, as everything that has been shown of the game already looks amazing. As a consolation for this setback, Rockstar also shared a new batch of screenshots. Check them out in the gallery below to stave off your hunger for this awesome looking sequel!

Red Dead Redemption 2 will follow the tale of Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang trying to survive in the wild, unforgiving American West. It will also feature a whole new multiplayer experience for players to live out their Western fantasies.

If everything goes according to Rockstar’s plans, you can get it on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.
