Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds Gets a Launch Date

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds to be released in November

The Horizon Zero Dawn expansion The Frozen Wilds has gotten a release date, according to PlayStation‘s official blog. The new chapter in Aloy’s story will drop on November 7, 2017. While you’re waiting, there’s an exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn avatar available when you pre-order the expansion from the PlayStation Store. More information will be released about Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds as we get closer to the release, but here’s what we know so far. You can also check out the E3 teaser trailer for the upcoming game expansion in the player below.

The expansion for Horizon Zero Dawn will continue the journey of Aloy with a brand new area with its own storyline, adventures and side activities. There will also be new machines to tangle with. Beyond the northern mountains, the borderlands of the Banuk tribe challenge all who dare enter to survive the extremes. But now this frozen wilderness harbors a new threat, and for Aloy, a new mystery – one she’s determined to solve.

Horizon Zero Dawn comes to us from Sony Interactive Entertainment and Guerrilla Games. Earlier this summer, New Game+ was added, allowing players to relive the adventures of Aloy without losing their character progression and collected inventory. The level 50 cap is still in effect, but XP can still be collected. Updated versions of existing weapons and outfits with an extra modification slot have been added, as well as new face paints for Aloy and two new trophies. We also got the Ultra Hard difficulty setting, which enhances machine senses and behavior, and limits player health regeneration.
