Gamescom: Videos from the Xbox Media Briefing

Microsoft held its gamescom 2014 Xbox Media Briefing today and, in addition to announcing that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be an Xbox One exclusive, revealed new trailers and details for anticipated titles coming to the console. Here are the videos that were shown individually with brief summaries of what they announced.

First up was the new “Paris Horizon” trailer for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Unity, coming on October 28.

Exclusive content was announced for FIFA 2015 with the “Ultimate Team Legends” trailer. A Europe FIFA 2015 Xbox One bundle was revealed as well.

Lots of new gameplay from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was presented in the “Collapse” video, which you can watch below. A limited edition Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Xbox One bundle will be coming as well.

Microsoft announced that early Beta access for Evolve would begin in January and that downloadable content would hit the console first. They also revealed this new “Distillery Map” gameplay demo.

Remedy presented a new gameplay trailer for Quantum Break, in which a time travel experiment has gone horribly wrong. Check it out below!

This new trailer for Fable Legends, the latest adventure in the genre-defining series, was shown as well.

From Frontier comes ScreamRide in Spring 2015. It’s a full-featured, physics-based coaster game where creativity and destruction are equally welcomed.

A new ‘social’ trailer was presented for Forza Horizon 2, available September 30, and a Forza Motorsport 5 Infinite Car Pack trailer was shown as well. Check out both below.



Microsoft revealed that there will be a Sunset Overdrive Xbox One bundle and showed this new “Floyd’s guided tour” trailer.

And last, but certainly not least, they made a few “Halo”-related announcements. The “Halo Channel” is coming this November to Xbox.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection, coming on November 11, features a ranking system with identical leveling as the original Halo 2. “Sanctuary” was also announced as a reimagined map in Halo 2: Anniversary. Check out the “Sanctuary Reveal” trailer below.

And Microsoft also presented a first look at the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta. The Beta will run from Dec. 29, 2014 until January 18, 2015.
