Anybody plan on checking out"Jason vs. Freddy" next year?? Some strange things have been happening with this film which starts shooting in September. Kane Hodder was supposed to be playing Jason, but then the New Line people said they wanted someone who could play a more emotional Jason, and also someone smaller than Hodder. WTF?? They wanna turn Jason into a whining pansy ass thin guy?? Then there were rumors that Brad Loree who plays Michael Myers in "Halloween 8" was to be playing Jason. As it stands now, Hodder is in talks to play Jason (crosses fingers). As for the cast, Brad Renfro was in, till he got kicked off the project for some still yet to be released reason, and was replaced by John Ritters son who played in "Swimfan". Kelly Rowlands (Destinys Child), and Jason Bateman from the old "Hogan Family" show have been casted indefinitely. As well as the chick (don't know her name) who plays Emma on that show "Mutant X". The premise of the film...Freddy can't get out of hell, so he sends Jason to Elm street to continue where he left off. However, Jason is not to be controlled, so he goes on killing in other places which eventually pisses off Freddy and he comes to earth to confront Jason. The teens in the film realize the only way to get rid of both, is to trick them into fighting each other. They also said in this film, Freddy somehow gets into Jasons dreams and we actually see what goes on in the head of Jason Voorhees, which should be interesting. Lastly, this film takes place before "Jason X", so it won't be the 11th installment of the 'F13TH' series.

I just read both scripts to freddy vs jason one was alright the other sucked so i was just wondering if anyone else had read the scripts to the movie yet? I think the one where jason gets a new heart on the bottom of crytal lake is better than the other one.

I went to FANGORIA this year and Robert Englund wasn't there because he was doing this big mistake. I don't know why this movie is even happening. Bad idea, thats all I can say. What a waste of time this is going to be. I know I'm not there when it comes out. This moive is going to suck no matter what.

It's only a waste of YOUR time if you go see it. Some of us here are really looking forward to it.
Will it be mindless and goofy? Probably. Will it be scary? Probably not. Will I love it? Most likely.
No offense, but I always get pissed when someone who is not a fan of something goes on about that thing being a "waste of time". If it ain't your bag, don't see it. But please don't assume that because you and all your friends don't want it to happen that no one else does.
June 13, 2003(assuming that's set in stone), I'm there!

I totally agree with the above poster. When a brand new movie comes out you have to weigh it on the merits of the hype and trailor, but when a movie franchise (or in this case TWO movie franchises) Have 15 movies between them... the movie company isn't putting it's bets on making a whole lot of new fans to the series. They are splitting it up between catering to the die-hard fans and regaining some early fans they lost along the way. For some of us we remember Freddy and Jason from back when we were young teenagers and it was still cool to spend hours debating over the two of them in ways that only young adolescents can. (Immaturely :) ) As we grew up watching sequel after sequel we always said "This ain't as good as part so-and-so" We even took it personally when they companies went outlandish with some stuff. "Dude, that's totally stupid! Freddy/Jason would NEVER do that." For a brief period in time, Freddy and Jason were "our" characters. That's the power of franchises with this kind of staying power. It's the fans. When Wes did New Nightmare he himself even saw this and made a playfull poke at the idea. Jason X touches on the infamy of Jason and a cute look at how it could be hundreds of years from now. This is why "WE" the ones who enjoy the history and the spectacle will go see this movie and either LOVE it, or love to hate it.
For those that just don't get it... well that's kinda the point.

I for one can't wait to see this movie. Watching these two together on the screen at the same time is worth the price of admission itself.

I want to make sure I have this right: Freddy can't leave Hell, so he sends Jason to Elm Street. Jason makes Freddy angry. Freddy leaves Hell, even though he can't, to confront Jason. If this is all correct, then I'm interested in hearing about how Freddy actually leaves Hell.

The current rumors dictate that there will be a group of teenagers involved that release Freddy and the only hope they haver for survival involves getting the two killers to turn thier malice on each other.

Check on the link from the main page there's more info on the plot. Apparently the parents are drugging the kids so they can't dream, which puts Freddy in a bind. Freddy then uses Jason's dreams to get Jason to do his dirty work for him, and Jason ends up turning on him.
Starting to sound pretty good if you ask me.

Yeah his head has a smooth metallic look to it.I actually hate how he looks in this movie Too retro for my taste. He looked the best in Part 7.But I hope the movie will make up for his horrible look.

A. After being trapped in hell for quite some time, Freddy Krueger meets up with Jason Voorhees after Jason is sent to hell by Creighton Duke (forget part X; rewind to Friday the 13th Part IX). Krueger is able to disguise himself as Pamela Voorhees, and instructs Jason to start murdering on Elm Street upon his resurrection, therefore restoring Freddy's power as well. Jason does this task, drawing the attention of Tommy Jarvis, the only person to have single-handedly defeated Jason twice, and Alice, who has managed to defeat Freddy twice as well. However, once Jason realizes what Freddy has done, he is infuriated. Hellbent on vengence, Jason renews his bloodbath in pursuit of personally slaughtering Krueger, and anyone else in his path.
B. The ultimate forms of Hell are about to be unleashed on Earth once again. Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) is desparate to kill, but he can't since the parents of Elm Street have been doping their kids up with dream suppressants. So, he manipulates hulking, hockey-masked serial killer Jason Voorhees (Ken Kirzinger), through dream manipulation of his mother (Paula Shaw) and gulit, to go to Elm Street and dispatch the kids so the parents will think the pills are useless and stop giving it to them (which will free Freddy once again). But Freddy's plans don't go according to schedule when Jason discovers that he has been manipulated, which really sends him over the egde. So, it's up to teenagers Will (Jason Ritter), Lori (Monica Keena), and Kia (Kelly Rowland), along with other survivors of both killers, to lure Jason back to Camp Crystal Lake to kill Freddy once and for all...
there you go.

Wow, It's hilarious to see a movie, then look back on all the silly rumours that were floating around before it opened.
While some of the stuff did happen the stuff that didn't is just hilarious.:)
