a few special ops groups wear like black kevlar suits with other fibers mixed in. That's what they were going for with Snake Eyes and then they added on armor for coolness factor

Meh, I don't mind the outfits. I'm just not holding out much hope for the film for every other reason. The art design and clothing is the least of my worries.

I wouldn't say I mind the outfits, but I don't like 'em either. It's sorta like the Transformers thing, which everyone jizzed themselves over but I thought was kinda crappy. Most of the characters didn't at all look like they were supposed to. Starscream pissed me off especially, he didn't even have the right color scheme. That seems like nitpicky ****, but just imagine if Batman were orange or the Hulk was yellow. Certain characters should look a certain way, period, 'cuz that's who they are. Period.

Wow didnt know the writer of Collateral was a part of this as well as Stephen Sommers. An excellent writer and a director who knows how to direct a nice summer popcorn flick aint a bad resume. Even though this most likely wont have anything to do with the GI Joe other than the names, itll still be entertaining nonetheless

I don't mind the outfits at all. I mean the movie is going for a realistic feel while still being a comic book movie. Its still gonna make a lot of money and I will still see it. It doesn't look that bad from the action shots I've seen.

With a few notable exceptions (I'm sorry but that Snake Eyes outfit is perfect) it kinda looks like they just took the costumes from Doom and said "wear these". I mean look at this:
