Alright, everyone knows Arnie for being the ultimate shoot at you and say some kind of ballistic austrian while he blows you up. Well since several different conversations about him over the past few days I was thinking, We don't have an Arnie thread where we can come and talk about his best movies his worst or whatever. So to bring this introduction to a close, come here, rate his movies, judge his work and have a few laughs.

T2 for sure.
i would have put more of his movies or at least an "other" option up there. who knows when someones gonna want to voice their love for his work as mr.freeze

Yeah, well then if I forgot one of his movies then someone would get pissed then I would have to fit them all on there which would be impossible. I love my Arnold.

I wouldn't have voted for it, but I loved The 6th Day. Actually, I love all of his movies. They're the perfect blend of intense action and dark humor.
I voted for Terminator 2, for the record.

Actually, I like the 6th Day to, especially that guy that got ran over like twice. It was a really good plot to me.

Sadly I could name every single one of his movies hahaha. Some people might want to vote for Total Recall though. I love Ahnuld, I've seen almost all of his movies, just need The Villian, Conan the Destroyer, Red Sonja, Raw Deal, Red Heat, Batman and Robin, and Collateral Damage. My favorite is Terminator 2.
Top 5 Arnie movies:
1. Terminator 2: Judgement Day
2. The Terminator
3. Predator
4. Total Recall
5. Commando (seriously, it's so ridiculous it's great)
I haven't seen Batman and Robin or Red Sonja, but Arnold has sure made some stinkers. Junior, Jingle All the Way, Hercules in New York, all of those are so bad.
Yeah, Arnold's the greatest guilty pleasure to come out of Hollywood.
MasterChief117

Jingle All The Way was terrible but it was somewhat entertaining to me. It has that christmas feeling to it.

easily T2. That role was pretty much made for him.

Haha, Jingle All the Way is my all-time favorite Christmas movie. Seriously. I watch it every year, and sometimes twice.

And you say Aliens is overrated? Clearly this invalidates this remark. ;)
I do find it hilarious that Sinbad is in that movie hahaha. And when Arnold does his karate pose in the beginning, it's the most unintentionally hilarious scene ever.

As much as I try to watch good movies, I probably enjoy his the most. I would watch Commando, Predator, T2, or Kindgergarten Cop over Indiana Jones 4, Dark Knight, Iron Man, or Pineapple Express any day of the week. I grew up with his movies, I can quote them better than probably he can, and I try not to befriend people who don't. Arnold kicks ass, and I'm a much much bigger fan than I appear, since we don't really talk about him much on these boards.
And yes, I think Terminator Salvation is going to blow without Arnold, Bale or no Bale.

So the real question is, how many of you have seen Hercules in New York?

I watched it with my dad last year. I haven't laughed like that since Troll 2. The scene where he fights the bear is classic.

I've only seen bits and pieces of that movie. Probably a movie I'll have to watch on that Hulu link you sent me Sno.

Is there anyone a fan of Red Heat? That was a great Arnold movie for sure. Jim Belushi did a good job in that movie, perfect counter part to Arnold.

Alright, post the last Arnie movies you've seen in here. I plan on having a Arnie Marathon this weekend. So if anyone plans on watching Arnie movies post them in here for people who might haven't seen it. (Sno.hahha:))

Where is Conan and Total Recall?! Blasphemy! ;)
My favorites are T1 and T2, Predator, True Lies and Total Recall.
For Arnold quotes, The Running Man is legendary. "He had to split" :funny:

I voted T2 but of all the films that aren't in the poll Last Action Hero is probably my favourite.
MasterChief117
07-30-2008, 01:33 PM
I would change it since the constant complaints but I'm not really sure how. I really did like The Last Action Hero because it captured what Arnold was about and pretty much made fun of it. Not to mention most kids grow up loving Arnold anyways.

I love that and then he pulls out a sub machine gun and starts firing rounds off randomly. That was awesome. I have to watch that movie again. Thanks for the vid, Dooms.

I thought the Last Action Hero was awesome when it first came out in theatres. It's almost too corny to watch now, but it can be pretty good in chunks, and of course is often funnier out of context.
Andrey83
07-31-2008, 09:50 AM
It was ment to be corny though ;)
Also, isnt "too corny" and "Arnold Schwarzenegger" synonyms?
Where's my elephant?

Ahnold sucks at comedy
SnoBorderZero
07-31-2008, 06:22 PM
When he's trying to be funny, I agree. The reality is, when he's trying to be serious, he's the funniest man on the planet.
Like in The 6th Day when he has a clone, most absolutely ridiculous moment in Arnold history. 2 Arnolds, ahhahaha!
MasterChief117
07-31-2008, 06:40 PM
Completely agree. Funniest line from any of his movies is when he broke the door in that cottage in The Predator, "Knock Knock" hahaha!
Ramplate
07-31-2008, 06:42 PM
yeah sometimes he is funny when not trying to be
But if it is a comedy script - he and Stallone suck at it.

I watched True Lies, a fantastic movie hands down. I laughed and lunged at this movie. Classic Arnie movie.
SnoBorderZero
08-03-2008, 02:42 AM
Oh man Raw Deal is bad. It's basically Commando minus the fun. Still, Arnie always makes it entertaining in some way.
