If you had to choose ONE reason, what would it be?

Probably the ridiculosis storyline and forgetable one-liners. I tried to avoid the acting part and focus on the dialogue because I could sit here all day on Ahnuld's stupindest piece o'crap.

Is this a trick question?

I'll probably have to go with Clooney as Batman. He just wasn't right for the role. Nowhere near as good as Keaton or Bale. I was going to put Schumacher as the main reason why I hated it but he did direct Batman Forever and that movie was decent.

Why are we still *****ing about an eleven year old movie? I don't remember what I most disliked about it, or much of anything else about it.

This is a movie to add to the "get over it" file.

For the same reason Star Wars fans will always ***** about the prequels. People have a hard time getting over it when someone takes something they love and ****s all over it.

I hate that it was dumb. I don't mind the camp. The Adam West show was camp and I liked it. B&R's problem was dumb things like Batman having a credit card!

I'm gonna go with the villians. The Director should have focused on one nemesis Viktor Freise. Additionally IMO Patrick Stewart would have made a better Mr. Freeze than the Gov. especially if he were allowed to play the part as dark and sinster as he could. Think Locutus on steroids. Cold, emotionless, single-minded.

I think what I hate most about it is that it was such an awful movie yet people are still creating threads and talking about it. The best way to show how much we hate it is to forget about it forever!

Nipples on the batsuit, tooo many villains and heroes not enough time to develop any - and all the above and probably everything else that comes to mind

I voted "other".

If one thing: the script. Thats ultimately the heart of the movie and if they had just gotten at least the script right the movie could have been watchable.

I don't want to pick on "Batman and Robin." It's like picking on the handicapped. Let's try being nice to it for once.

Thats too true. The movie was just a 2 hour commerical and the budget of the movie could of saved some African kids with no homes but whatever.

Let's just all be thankful that they didn't make the sequel Batman Triumphant.

That credit card scene was beyond stupid.

It was supposed to be the next installment in the "Joel Shumacher Rapes Your Childhood" Batman series. However, after the dead fish flop of Batman & Robin, it was effectively canceled.

B&R opened with $42 mil and made $107 mil domestically. Add on the international box office and VHS/DVD sales, and I'm guessing it made back its $125 mil budget.

Ah. Thank you. :)

....And as for "effectively canceled," thank goodness for that.

If it wasn't for Batman & Robin we would have never had Begins and Dark Knight.

I think we owe a lot to the film for just the fact that the studio realized we always wanted a real, gritty, dark Batman film.

and boy did it deliver... so yeah I say get over it, and thank god for begins and dark knight.

Joel Schumacher just found his newest excuse. ;)
