so I guess I always wanted to do a tournament but never got around to doing one.
So I'm finally going to go ahead and do it.
so far these are the movies I've came up with before starting the tournament
anyways if I forget any please add them to the list I'm sure I've forgotten more than a few. You can post here and PM me.
Any ideas how the tournament should run and so forth I'm willing to listen because of course this is my first time setting up a tournament :)

What a great idea for a tournament. I'm shocked that it hasn't been done yet, if it hasn't. Has it? With all the tournaments here, that's very surprising. Let me be the first to predict The Dark Knight as the winner. Yeah, before it even comes out. I have nothing constructive to add, but good idea.

Elektra, quite easily. While it was bad, it was at least a little more watchable than Catwoman. I made a vow many years ago that I would never walk out of a movie at the theater until it was over, no matter how bad it was, and the closest I remember ever coming to breaking that vow was when I saw Catwoman. There was not one single redeeming characteristic to that crapfest, not one. I hate the fact that every time I talk to someone about how ****ty Catwoman was, they mention Halle Berry in a cat suit, Halle Berry in a cat suit, blah blah whoop-diddly-****. there's a bunch of hot chicks in every low-rent porno I can get OnDemand late at night, doesn't make them good, or even remotely watchable. At least in those movies the chicks get naked, in this one some stuck-up ***** struts around like she's god's gift to, well, everything, and half the walking hard-ons of the world lap it up like the retards that they are. Sorry, thus concludes my completely unnecessary rant.

Awesome. I vote Daredevil. Yeah, it was seriously flawed, but it had it's merits. The Mask, on the other hand, had none. Except for that "Mambo King" (or whatever) dance scene, that was cool, and is also pretty much the only thing I remember from that crapfest.

Alien Vs. Predator (2004)
http://www.geocities.com/theactionkingsk/AlienVsPredator-newteaserposter.jpg
When audiences caught a glimpse of an alien skull mounted in the trophy cabinet of a Predator in the 1990 film PREDATOR 2, it seemed a franchise was about to be born. Sure enough, comic book artists immediately seized on the possibilities suggested by the brief scene, and a number of skirmishes between the deadly foes were played out on the printed page. Fans have had to endure a lengthy wait for a cinematic match-up, but writer-director Paul W.S. Anderson (EVENT HORIZON) has finally delivered the blood-splattered goods in ALIEN VS. PREDATOR. Set in the near future

Ghost Rider (2007)
http://www.firstshowing.net/img/posters/ghost_rider-full.jpg
The prophetically named Johnny Blaze and his father perform death-defying stunts in a carnival, but the real danger to his dad's life is the cancer growing within his dying body. To save him, Johnny makes a deal with Mephistopheles (Peter Fonda, EASY RIDER) and sacrifices his soul. When his father is killed mid-stunt, Johnny runs away, leaving behind his grief and a young love named Roxanne. Years later, Johnny (Nicolas Cage, WORLD TRADE CENTER ) is the most famous rider in the country. Despite his daredevil tendencies, Johnny is a different man when he's not riding his bike. Though he wears leather jackets and pants, he prefers jelly beans to Jim Beam while listening to the Carpenters. Years have passed since Johnny has seen the love of his life, but he still carries a torch for Roxanne (Eva Mendes, HITCH). When he sees her after a stunt, he tries to regain her love and trust. But it's time for the devil to take his due as he brings Johnny into an epic battle with Blackheart (Wes Bentley, AMERICAN BEAUTY). In the presence of evil, Johnny transforms into a super-strong skeleton with a flaming skull who has the power to defeat Blackheart and his minions.

30 Days of Night (2007)
http://thecia.com.au/reviews/1/images/30-days-of-night-poster-1.jpg
Based on the graphic novel by Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith, 30 DAYS OF NIGHT works overtime to pump fresh life into the vampire genre. Director David Slade (HARD CANDY) has created a series of pulse-pounding sequences, ripe with carnage, employing few tricks to keep his vision from getting lost in the seemingly tireless undertow of "undead" films. Located in the northernmost part of Alaska, the town of Barrow experiences a complete lack of sunshine for an entire month once a year. The town is populated with tough, hardworking, and generally law-abiding citizens, so there hasn't been much for Sheriff Eben Olesen (Josh Hartnett) to do except brood over his separation from his fire marshall wife, Stella (Melissa George). As darkness descends for its annual 30-day day, though, a series of bizarre discoveries rocks the town--and very soon vampiric Marlow (Danny Huston) and his minions arrive, slaughtering and sucking on everyone they can catch, safe in the knowledge that they have much longer than usual until sunup.

Hulk (2003)
http://img446.imageshack.us/img446/7986/b00005dj2.jpg
After more than four decades of continuing popularity, one of Marvel Comics’ most enduring and compelling comic book creations comes to the big screen, continuing Marvel’s superlative track record of bringing its classic characters to motion picture life: Blade, X-Men, Spider-Man, Daredevil. And now, this summer, The Hulk arrives. Scientist Bruce Banner (ERIC BANA) has, to put it mildly, anger management issues. His quiet life as a brilliant researcher working with cutting edge genetic technology conceals a nearly forgotten and painful past. His ex-girlfriend and equally brilliant fellow researcher, Betty Ross The Hulk – Production Information (Academy Award. winner JENNIFER CONNELLY), has tired of Bruce’s cordoned off emotional terrain and resigns herself to remaining an interested onlooker to his quiet life. Which is exactly where Betty finds herself during one of the early trials in Banner’s groundbreaking research. A simple oversight leads to an explosive situation and Bruce makes a split-second decision; his heroic impulse saves a life and leaves him apparently unscathed—his body absorbing a normally deadly dose of gamma radiation. …And yet, something is happening. Vague morning-after effects. Blackouts. Unexpected fallout from the experiment gone awry. Banner begins to feel some kind of a presence within, a stranger who feels familiar, slightly dangerous and yet darkly attractive. All the while, a massive creature—a rampaging, impossibly strong being who comes to be known as the Hulk—continues its sporadic appearances, cutting a swath of destruction, leaving Banner’s lab in shambles and his house with blown out walls. The military is engaged, led by Betty’s father, General “Thunderbolt” Ross (SAM ELLIOTT), along with rival researcher Glenn Talbot (JOSH LUCAS), and both personal vendettas and familial ties come into play, heightening the danger and raising the stakes in the escalating emergency.

Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, V For Vendetta tells the story of a young working-class woman named Evey who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked man known only as "V." Profoundly complex, V is at once literary, flamboyant, tender and intellectual, a man dedicated to freeing his fellow citizens from those who have terrorized them into compliance. He is also bitter, revenge-seeking, lonely and violent, driven by a personal vendetta. In his quest to free the people of England from the corruption and cruelty that have poisoned their government, V condemns the tyrannical nature of their appointed leaders and invites his fellow citizens to join him in the shadows of Parliament on November the 5th – Guy Fawkes Day.
