yes are comic book movies considered action movies? or say movies with some action but predominantly drama, ala saving private ryan? these lists are always so lackadaisical i never know what to put down....

yeah, I had a lot of troubles. Seven Samurai, is by any definition an action movie, and it's better than any of the movies on my list, but isn't really the type of movie these lists are meant to be dedicated to. Additionally I ruled out Westerns (The Wild Bunch).

To me an action movie is one with non stop (over the top) action and any story it might have is just secondary to all the action. So, my top 5 would be.

Die Hard
Terminator 2
Predator
Commano
The Running Man

I generally prefer more modern action flicks. Especially ones that bend the rules of physics to the extreme.
