Out of the three, which one do you consider best?

Here's my short reviews for the trilogy, each entry in the trilogy that is.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl 9/10-This movie was very original. It had brilliant acting and grand direction. Johnny Deep was a knock out as Jack Sparrow. He was funny and one of the most original characters on the big screen in years. I even liked Will and Elizabeth even though some fans complain about them. I do like them. I mean I don't like a film that completely focuses on one character only so these characters brought some life to this movie. Barbossa was a funny and vile at the same time. I loved hating him. This film overall was great and one of the best films of 2003.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest 10/10-One of my favorite movies of all time. Tied for best film of 2006 with Superman Returns and Casino Royale. This film was much darker than its predecessor and that's one of my reasons for liking this film. The good guys don't win here, you have to admit you get tired of the good guys winning formula. Good twist at the end. I loved Davy Jones. He was pure evil and mysterious. I know it gets criticized for several reasons including that it didn't really have an ending but think about The Empire Strikes Back, did that have an ending? NO! In fact like this film, Empire was criticized back in its day and was not looked upon as greatly as it is today. In fact one could consider this to be the Empire Strikes Back of the Pirates trilogy. Darker than its predecessor, good guys lose, one of the heroes wants to learn about his father and wants to save him, the love triangle, a hero is taken by the enemy. Now I know I will get criticized for liking this film by some, but its my opinion and I respect your alls opinion on this film.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End either a 9/10 or 10/10-This film was a great example on how to end a trilogy, with a bang and a big bang too! This film was the most action packed of the three. Now here's the problem, I can't decide if this is the best or my least favorite in this franchise. Here are my reasons that it could be my favorite: More humor and its mixed with dark and serious plots, epic battle towards the end, great visuals, funny Jack Sparrow, non typical ending, we are introuduced to more pirates and we get more of a feeling what pirates are like, we meet Jack Sparrow's family, more drama.
Now here are my reasons why this one could be my least favorite: Tia Dalma's 50 ft woman thing was ridiculous and not frightening at all, did not have much originality and in fact felt like a rehash of the first two, examples, Barbossa, the battle at the end felt kinda like the end battles of the first two, but only epic sized, Elizabeth getting mistaken for someone she's not and because of that gets kidnapped, the whole Parlay thing is similar to a scene in the first movie where Will and Elizabeth escape Barbossa and leave Jack and in this one same thing basically happens except Jack is taken to Jones, and in some scenes I noticed that some actors were not interested in the film at all and looked rather bored, the love triangle continues in this one and pretty much is the same thing, parts of the movie just felt like it was one big explosive toy commercial the battle scenes for example they just felt toyetic because of all the nonsensical explosions fighting and goofy villains. Still despite all these minor flaws, I love this movie any way. I might give it a 10 because the good points strongly out weigh the flawed ones. Also just like DMC feeling like TESB, this entry felt kinda like Return of the Jedi.

I think like many movies these two Pirates sequels will be looked upon better in the future.

So what's your opinion of these films?

The Curse of the Black Pearl is by far the best. The second best would be At World's End....but it is very weird.

The first one was a mildly entertaining watch, the second and third were horrendous. I think most people would agree with me.

I actually don't have a favorite. I think all three of the "Pirates" films are enormously entertaining adventure movies, each with a different style of their own that makes them stand out from the rest of the films in the same genre. Bottom line, all three are equally fun and entertaining.

Only the first one was any good, the others (mostly Dead Man's Chest) were very very poorly written and overall mediocre.
