May be it's a strange question but I would like to know if you know any german movies. What do you think about them?

I lived in Germany for 2 years, and I don't think I saw a German movie once the entire time. I think thats probably because I don't speak Deutsche very well.

I've only seen a few Fritz Lang movies and Run Lola Run. If you like silent films, go for Fritz Lang, especially M and Metropolis.

Run Lola Run is highly overrated. The Lives of Others is on my Netflix. I want to see if it really deserved to beat Pan's Labyrinth for Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars.
