Michael Bay says he might be interested in directing Transformers 2 but it won't be his next project. If he does not direct, who should take his place?

I think if anyone else, it should be Steven Speilberg. I mean, he was a part of the production and parts of the film did feel like a Speilberg film. Besides Speilberg can direct big movies and I do mean big. Well we all know that. Jurassic Park 1 and 2, The Indiana Jones movies, Jaws, etc!!! Everything(almost, 1941 does not count because it was a financial disapointment) he touches turns to solid gold!

Spielberg. He produced it. Let him try a hand at directing the next one.

I'd say anyone but Michael Bay, but then I realize that would mean wasting someone elses time, so lets stick to Michael Bay.

A Burton Transformers would be weird. A Tarantino one would be even weirder because the robots would be actors in robot looking outfits. But on the bright side, we'd see Optimus behead a decepticon and lots of blood would fly :D .

I can't see anyone but Michael Bay doing the sequel. Let's stick with Bay.

But enough about NW's repetetive and annoying threads. ;)

I dont care honestly, as long as they stop the shakey cam thing, and pull the camera back so we can see all the action.

^^ I agree so much.

I picked James Cameron just because.

It was the movie Michael Bay was born to make, but if I had to choose another, I'd pick Edgar Wright. He'd bring the right measure of geekiness and tongue-in-cheekness to the franchise.

Peter Jackson or Steven Spielberg I guess.

You cannot go wrong with a geek and a genius working together.

see the problem with bringing in speilburg and cameon is that you are asking them to do a sequel, based off of a michael bay film. i think thats insulting if anything.

I doubt Spielberg would be insulted since him and Bay are best buddies now.

Actually Steven Spielberg as producer had his footprints all over this Mess called "Transformers" much like he did the other MESS he directed
War of the Worlds".

Zack Snyder... hes the man for the job. Thats if bay doesn't do it.

Wow, I didn't think of Zack Snyder. If Bay doesn't do TF 2, then it should be Zack Snyder. It would be like "300 Transformers". 2 1/2 hours of pure robot carnage.

Starscream: "A 1000 Nations of the Decepticon army, descend upon you! Our weapons will block out the sun!"

Ironhide: "Then we will fight in the shade."

As much as Jim Cameron would be a great candidate for a sequel there is perhaps no way he would do it as he seems to be more committed to advancing film rather than making something that's flavour of the month so to speak.

Bay did a good job with the first so I'll just stick with him for the time being.
