I thaught i would make a poll on the middle trilogy films. I have selected A few middle trilogy films. Some of the best in my opinion in resent trilogy history. Now do remember its not about the best movie in the trilogy but the best middle trilogy film against the others in the poll.
Do give me a few moments to post the poll.

Aliens is not on the list - yeah ok there were 4 or 5 films depending on which ones you count, but it's still the best of the set.
Otherwise - T2

I decided it in the 3 trilogy bracket but that is also why i have other. For i a middle movie trilogy film is usually the second movie and for Alien it would be Alien 3 which wasn't that good. Alot of the middle trilogy for quadtrilogies aren't that great.

But its really not fair to have dead mans chest in there since the third one hasnt come out yet. But I guess it doesnt really matter.

"The Road Warrior" would have been nice up there, but I think I still would have picked Terminator 2.

Of those, I'd say Lord Of The Rings The Two Towers, Pirates Of The Caribbean Dead Mans Chest, Indiana Jones and The Temple Of Doom, &
Matrix Reloaded all displayed a decrease in quality over thier predesesors.
Blade 2 & X2 X-Men United are not really in the league of the reaining three so they're out.
That leaves Star Wars Episode 5 The Empire Strikes Back, Terminator 2 Judgement Day, & The Godfather Part 2
Of those I'd say Empire Strikes Back is the one that's most clearly the best within its series.

Lord Of The Rings The Two Towers. - Is actually my favorite of the LOTR's
Pirates Of The Caribbean Dead Mans Chest. - Ugh, didnt like the first one so didn't bother with second one
Star Wars Episode 5 The Empire Strikes Back. - My pick, is one of my favorite movies of all time
Indiana Jones and The Temple Of Doom. - IMO the worst of the Triology
Matrix Reloaded. - just like Temple of Doom worst of Trilogy
Terminator 2 Judgement Day. - its hard to say if this is the best of the the Trilogy because I like the first one just a tad bit more
X2 X-Men United. - Best of the series but not better than Empire, Two Towers, Godfather 2 or T2
The Godfather Part 2. - not best of the series IMO but still a fantastic movie
Blade 2 - just like Pirates, i didn't like the first one so i didn't bother to see Blade 2.
here is my thoughts on this
Empire Strikes Back - 10/10 (ANH 9/10, ROTJ 9/10)
Terminator 2 - 10/10 (Terminator 10/10, T3 8/10)
The Godfather 2 - 10/10 (Godfather 10/10, Pt III 8/10)
Two Towers - 10/10 (Fellowship 9/10, Return 9/10)
X2 - 9/10 (X-Men 8/10, X3 - N/A)
Reloaded - 8/10 (Matrix - 9/10, Revolutions 8/10)
Temple of Doom - 7/10 (Raiders 10/10, Crusade 10/10)
Blade 2 - N/A (Blade 6/10, Blade 3 N/A)
Pirates 2 - N/A (Pirates 5-10, Pirates 3 hasn't come out yet)

The problem is that their in their own catagory of films, Like i couldnt compare Matrix and LOTR they are in their own worlds. But if I Had a choice it would be the two towers.

I agree on that, i mean are we gonna start including Night watch, even though only the first of the trilogy was made, etc etc.

should godfather 2 count? cause a lot of people choose to ignore the existance of godfather three.
wut about Spiderman 2? Or Shrek 2?
Well, Spidey 3 and Shrek 3 haven't been released yet... so its not really a trilogy... PotC shouldn't have been up there either since the 3rd isn't released either..

Empire Strikes Back
The world of star wars never got so complicated until that movie.
especially Leia making out with luke and finding out later there siblings haha
anyways I just dont see any movie coming close to that and IMO Fellowship of the Ring is the best movie out of those three.

Somehow I missed Terminator 2 on the list when I scanned the options. I picked LOTR Two Towers. It was my favorite film of the trilogy and one of my favorite films of all time. I probably would put Terminator 2 ahead of it though.

I thought all of them were great in their own right which would make none of them the worst.
Die Hard 2 was good for what it was worth, pure action fun despite many saying it's the worst out of the trilogy.
And if it weren't for that blabbering Kate Capshaw (who almost single-handedly ruined TOD) I would've picked Temple of Doom. I just liked it better than the rest cause it was different, dark, and a lot more entertaining. Raiders and Crusade are still awesome though.

She was only cast because Speilberg wanted to get in her knickers. It worked....

would aliens or alien 3 be the middle trilogy.

I picked Pirates Of The Caribbean. Sorta shallow and Hollywood, yeah, but very intriguing and very making me look forward to the next one, which should be how a middle chapter functions. That's what Empire did, after all. But Dead Man's Chest really intrigued me as far as Davy Jones who is perhaps maybe the coolest damn cinematic character since Creasy, and I'm itchin to see what they do with him next. I wasn't the biggest fan of the first, at all, but having seen the second I'm salivating for the third. I think that means Dead Man's Chest did it's job quite admirably.

would aliens or alien 3 be the middle trilogy.
it can't be a trilogy if there are 4 of them, which is why pretty soon you will have to take Indy and Die Hard off the list. but back when there was only 3 of them the middle would have been Aliens, and it would have been the only movie to come close to Empire IMO
