Spine tingiling moments

I just wanted to find out if there was a scene in a movie that made the hair on the back of your neck stand up. And i'm not talking about scary moments. For example, these are the ones that stand out for me:

Goodfellas. Joe Pesci in that awesome "funny" scene.
Vanilla Sky. The end scene on the roof of the building. Beautiful
Return of the King. The speech by Theoden and ride of the Rohirrum
Seven. the whole head in the box scene near the end!!
True Romance. When Clarence confronts Drexall.
Star Wars. the first time i saw That " thats no moon its a space station" scene

And probably my personal favourite and one which gets me every time

Gladiator. The scene in the arena when Maximus turns his back on the emperor, then turns around to face him and gives THAT classic speech. Fantastic!!

Theres more i cant think of right now but what are your thoughts?

The only tingly moment i can remember is in LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring's opening when Sauron appears on the battlefield.

Helmsman Lojur: She'll fly apart!

I thought they should have made a movie with him and his crew after that.

and Spock's death scene, every. single. time.

In First Contact when Picard give his "they assimilate entire worlds and we fall back speech." One of the rare moments you see him look so vunerable and out of control but still commanding.

Also:

The first time Trinity jumped the roof in the Matrix.

Kusanagi vs. the Tank in the orignal Ghost in the Shell.

The lift off and reentry scenes in Apollo 13.

The final charge in Glory.

I've gotten the tingly thing on the back of my neck so many times, I wouldn't know where to start.

A recent powerful one that comes to mind is in "Crash" when the little girl is running to get in front of the gun that is about to shoot her dad. I'm getting the tingly thing now typing this.

Aliens had some great moments. The part where the marines are barricaded in the room and the sensors show that the aliens are in the room and they can't see them, only to find out they are in the ceiling. Also, right after Ripley rescues Newt and they stumble across the nest and it gets all quiet. They slowly turn around and get their first glimpse of the Queen. Awesome scene.

Tombstone : The final standoff between Doc Holliday and Johnny Ringo.

Arachnophobia: The final scene with the queen spider and Jeff Daniels

King Kong: The insect pit scene and Kong vs 3 T-Rexes.

Star Wars Episode I: Darth Maul vs Qui Gon and Obi Wan.

Jaws: The shark's first appearance where Brody says "your gonna need a bigger boat''. Also Robert Shaw's USS Indianapolis scene.

Batman(1989) : The first appearance of the batmobile and when Batman uses that remote control voice thing and makes the batmobile stop inches in front of him. Also when Joker pulls the long gun from his pants and shoots down the batwing.

Another couple came to mind

The Bourne identity. When he is being interregated by the policeman near the begining and he just sits there saying nothing. i was on edge just waiting for him to snap.
Trueman show. the final dramatic scenes when he tries to escape in his boat. I was willing trueman on watching this !!!
A few good men. I Think that what the movie was called. Anyway jack nicholson's vicious rant in court.
Falling Down. michael Douglas goes shopping!!!

American Beauty - Three scenes. The scene where Ricky shows Jane the video of the bag. The part where Lester's wife (I forgot her name) comes home and rolls down the car window and you see the door illuminated in red...god that is such an awesome shot). The ending.

To Kill A Mockingbird - The scene in the court room where Atticus is closing (I think that's what it's called). Man Gregory Peck was ****ing awesome in that.

21 Grams - The scene where Naomi Watt's character finds out what happened to her family...god...

Oh yes! That scene in Kill Bill 2! Sweet dialouge...could have sworn I've heard them before...deja vu I guess.

Silence of Lambs..the famous little teeth chattering thing Hopkins does....every time i start twitching its so creepy...first time my body literally just took hold of itself and threw me from the room.

Carnage mentioned Scent of a Woman above and i have to ditto that one

two harry potter moments: when harry brings cedrics body back from the graveyard in GoF and we see the body slam to the ground and the cheery music kicks in...just gives me chills all the way to fleur's scream as everyone realizes the dude is dead

and PoA when harry finally does the Patronus and all sound cuts out just to hear danni boy screaming the incantation

Romeo + Juliet- when Claire Danes screams "i long to die"....i freakin love that scene

Jeff Goldblums 'life finds a way' speech in Jurassic Park... so foreshadowing...and foreboding!

Like every Johnny Depp movie has a moment but ill give my favs:
PotC- jack sparrows final scene at the very end when he has the compass on the Black Pearl
Finding Neverland- his scene with the kid on the bench and also from that movie the first performance of Peter Pan when the music comes in and pans up to little Peter's face in the audience

Gladiator- maximus' speech to the emperor

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein- helena bonham carter's scene where she carries william's body out of the forest screaming 'i found him' oh god it breaks me heart

Crash the main move speech and the scene where the girl runs to her father

Jaws the whole freakin movie

so many more that i will think up later

Man, I was on the edge of my seat when that occured. Davy is truly a marvelous piece of work. In due time Jones will be remembered as one of the most awesome looking villains ever.

I agree on Vanilla Sky. Good film. I also loved the scene in Gladiator where hes in the meadow.

its been metioned above but jurassic park definatly had a couple of those moments for me. i remember that there wasnt much footage of the dinosaur effects shots released in the run up to the movie's opening. So i was probably expecting quite a bit stop go animation! When I saw that first dinosaur i just couldnt believe my eyes. And by the gasps, neither could the rest of the cinema. Then when the t-rex rolled on the scene I nearly choked on my popcorn!!

Close Encounters of the third kind- The mothership rising over Devils tower and midair rollover. For it's time, simply spectactular!

Armageddon-Moon slingshot manuever
Godzilla-entire dock sequence to walking over animal. Nicely done

Starship Troopers- MI trooper looking over wall of outpost and sees an entire wall of bugs stretching all the way to the horizon coming at him.

T-2 Wounded Sarah Conner blasting away at T-1000 with a shotgun

Entire death star battle from A new hope

ST-TNG Best of both worlds Pt 1. Cmndr Riker " Mr.Worf,.... Fire!"

#Sudden death- when there is 5 seconds left on the clock and the player scores.
#Casino royale- when Le shiffie says "will you yeild in time?"
#Star wars: ROFS- when Obi won and darth Vader fight above the lavar
#The punisher- When Castle raises his head while holding his dead wife and son (the music goes so well)
#Physco- when we hear bates running down the stairs into the basement (****, thats sound scares the **** out of me every single time) LONG LIVE HITCHCOCK!
#LOTR:ROTK- the last battle scene how man is surounded by orges and Aragorn says "for froddo and runs towards the orges and every one followes"
