A Fujifilm FinePix S9000. All the Fujifilm cameras take excellent digital pictures. They are a bit pricey though.

Isn't that Fuji a 9mp camera? Pretty good camera. I would probably recommended one of the Canon Powershot Elph series. The SD700is and SD800is are both pretty good models, if not a little bit thicker of the Elph series. Both use the larger battery and have image stabalizers built in. 2.5" lcds on both, which have about 6mp for the 700 and 7.2mp for the 800. Processor is great (Digic II) and the camera is reliable and easily transported. A safe, multi-use camera buy! I only know this cause I've been looking for a camera and, after doing my homework, thats the best buy I've seen, and I checked them ALL!
