Since this is the 3rd movie... And if they plan on making this series a trilogy, wouldnt you think Dr. Evil would die? Just think how sad that would be... Do you think he will die? Or live in the 3rd movie?

I once hear Mike Myers say that he wants these movies to just keep going just like the Bond movies.

I doubt anyone of the major players will die. It`s not the style of the movies.

well considering most likely that it will be a prequel, i doubt that they would kill him off. Besides fans would be pissed about it

and Mike Meyers said in an interview that he wants to make total of 6 Austin Powers films and a cartoon series

Yeah I heard he wants to make them like the Bond series on a constant basis. Hey any chance of Will Ferell returning?

It WILL be a prequel, covering how Dr Evil and Powers became adversaries.

I doubt they can make 6 good movies and a good cartoon show. Already the 2nd part sucked, I think there`s one good possible sequel in there, but not 6.

I saw the second one in the theater with a bunch of people, and it was like one big party, I loved it!

Second one sucked to you, but judging from the box-office it seems like the majority of the people welcomed the sequel.

Box office success is very rarely directly proportional to the quality of the movie.

Very true, for instance "Godzilla," "Wild, Wild West," "Pearl Harbor," "Armageddon" all made mega bucks. Now talk to people who saw those films and the majority will tell you it sucked. With Austin 2 it made a lot of cash, talk to the majority of people and they'll tell you they liked it. That's why there's a sequel and why there won't be one for Godzilla and WWW.

I talked to a lot of people and they mostly said it was ok, nothing special and a select few (actually, now that I think about it, some of the smarter ones, not to say you need to be stupid to like it) hated its guts. The way I experienced it was as a desecration, because I really LOVED the 1st one, and the second one was just...

One way or the toher, you have opinions and so do I, they don`t have to be in accord. Though I agree about Pearl harbor and Armageddon. They stunk. I never saw Godzilla or WWW. It seemed to painful to watch.

Smart, stupid, old young whatever all I know is that a variety of people liked it and it wasn't any one group of people.

I think AP3 should be a cliffhanger. Austin won in the first 2 movies. Let Dr. Evil win for once and be room for AP4. Kinda like Star Wars Empire Strikes back. You thought all was lost for the Rebellion, with Luke injured and Han in carbonite, but in Return of the Jedi, the Rebellion came back and saved the day. I'm a huge Dr. Evil fan, let's see the poor evil bastard win for once.

Did you really think that?

RJHNY1

No, of course I did not think that, but what it meant was that the Rebellion was in trouble and they had their work cut out for them in getting Han back and defeating Vader.

I've always seen the end of Austin Powers movies like the end of Inspector Gadget episodes. Good guy always wins, but it's clear the villian remains and that he still seeks revenge (Dr. Claw or whatever). I think that's how they should stay.
