I recently posted this link:

http://www.canmag.com/news/4/3/1262

This post says a rumor claims more Star Wars films are on the way and they will be prequels put before Episode I.

The admins closed the thread on the subject.

Now I find this:

http://www.canmag.com/news/4/3/1279

and then this:

http://www.iesb.net/movies2/movie052505.php

both these posts say that more Star Wars films are extremely possible, and that LucasFilm has the option of more films very OPEN. they also say that people who work for Lucas admit that more Star Wars films discussion is everywhere on the ranch.

One of the posts says that Fox may push for films during the period of KOTOR.

What do you think?

What do I think? I think the Star Wars movies have always centered around one character, Anakin Skywalker. That is why there will never be a prequel about the Star Wars universe 800 years earlier. At least not from George Lucas.

thats what the games, books, comics and even fanfilms are for. there is no need for more SW movies.

No way. And there's no "conspiracy" to hide it, either. Classic fanboy stuff.

I'd say it's extremely unlikely that we'll see anything anytime soon. But who knows what we'll see in 50 years or so. It's entirely possible somebody will snatch the rights the the SW name and do something with it. I mean, who would have thought anybody would make a prequel series to "Bonanza" but sure enough, a few years back, somebody thought it would be a good idea to make a series called "The Ponderosa" showing the lives of the young Cartwrights. Of course, it was a total flop, but that's beside the point. And who would have thought there was any need to make yet another King Kong movie, but here comes Peter Jackson....

I don't think Lucas will do anymore, and I don't think this generation will see anymore, but I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of another SW movie at some point, in some form.

I agree, IF anything happens, which I don't think anything will....but if it does it won't be for years...15-20 years at least.

why is everyone so obsessed with this though... the story is over. Sure there is a lot that COULD be told, but 6 flicks is enough.

EDIT: besides, the source on this is CanMag.com, just one guy writing for a insignificant web magazine with only his imagination to back him up.

I don't see it happening...at least not right away, but that doesn't mean I don't think it will happen in the future. This franchise is to sucessful to just be killed...in the future i think we will see more. I don't know when, I don't know how....but i'll be ready for them :) If they wanted to make some more movies, they should have made another movie between ep 2 and 3 showing all the clone wars stuff. Or they could have started with Ep 2, as Ep 1, then showed the clone wars as Ep 2, and then the normal Ep 3.

It's just fanboys getting the hopes up, and I'm pretty sure it's never gonna happen. It better not.

Star wars Episode 0.5

That would also be the rating most critics would give it, so it would be a fitting name.

wow this thread is still going. I dont get any emails for responses even though I am subscribed.

interesting.

I see what you mean about doing more. more would probably only hurt the original series even more. if the television series doesn't anyway.

It'd just **** up the numbering. I mean, -2, -1, 0? There's no such thing as negative roman numerals, is there?

Cloud Buster

No, there is no such thing as "negative" Roman numerals.

Even IF such a film were made, which I note NEVER WILL BE, it likely wouldn't have a number attached to it. It would be something like "Star Wars: The Age Of Jellyfish", or something. You get the idea.

I think it'd be kind of cool to see a KOTOR movie. I don't thik GL will be doing it, though. He'll probably let someone else do it for him, cause besides the TV series, I think he's done with doing Star Wars.

They'll be making these movies till the end of time. . . I think the prophet Weird Al said that.

Cloud Buster

I'm sure 50 years from now when cinema as we know it has completely changed, Star Wars will get "remade" by some up and coming young director. They'll probably also make films such as this, but it won't happen in Lucas' lifetime.

Lucas will NOT do these films. End of story.

aintitcoolnews just got another tip that Lucas has mentioned going back to the KOTOR days.

Think about it. This movie is pulling in some serious dough. It would be insane not to follow up with something. I like the idea of a tv show. as long as its done well. Treat them like you would if they were movies.
