Wow. Must have been quite an explosion. I wouldn't think a small amount of fuel in a florescent tube could do that much damage.

What really confuses me is this.

They were injured when one of the makeshift sabers exploded Sunday evening in the woods in Hemel Hempstead, north of London.

What one the "sabers" worked and the other didn't, they need to make this more clear. Cause I highly doubt it worked at all. People need to just realize that lightsabers will never be made, because lazers don't ever end. If you ignited a "real" saber it would keep going untill it eventually it something, like the moon. Just stick to your plastic toys.

Now I'm gonna go beat the crap out of vader with my plastic saber.

He still claims its one of his "high" points in his life.
