I was very close for the whole Order 66 montage. Also seeing yoda all teary eyed in the jedi temple when he says the younglings weren't killed by blasters but by a lightsabre.

I am one to cry in movies, but this one never made me full out cry. I got pretty misty eyed (okay, maybe a few tears, too) at the end, especially in the last scene with baby Luke and the two suns on Tattoine.

Didn't have tears running down my face or nothing but I got a little misty during the younglings part and at the end when Obi-Wan was telling Anakin about how he loved him and stuff. Can't remember the line right now. Going to see it again tomorrow so I'll see if those scenes still hold weight.

Oh man was I annoyed in the theater, I loved the line as well when he said "You were my brother, I loved you" (or close to that). But what happens in the theater? A couple of guys in front of me laugh cause a guy told another guy that he loved him, totally ruined it for me, I wanted to punch them in the back of their heads.

Agree. I came close to tears have done so during the recent viewings. The younglings scene gets to me. I didn't expect there to be any dialogue in that scene. When I heard that little one's voice and with JW's sad music. It got to me a bit.
In that scene, it looked the youngling that spoke to Vader when he crawled out from behind one of the temple seats, he was clutching a saber. I wonder if there was a cut scene where we actually saw some of the younglings attempting to fight the clones. Now if that was in there, then some tears would have been shed. Just imagine such a small padawan fighting for his life against a full grown clone with a blaster.

I agree. There were sad moments, but Lucas' incredible ability to stiffle actors emotions negated any chance of that.
The only movie I have gotten teary-eyed are Afterlife (where several other students had the leave the class because they were crying too much and making noise), and Empire of the Sun. I was like 8 or something, gimme a break. But I watched it a few years ago with my girl roomates and I bet them they would cry at the end... I won.

I teared up in several parts but never had tear droppage (not a real word but...lol). Order 66, Anakin and Padme staring from the Jedi Temple and her apartment, Obi-Wan meeting with Padme, Anakin with Padme and confrontation with Obi, and the end of the duel between Obi and Anakin. I also almost cried when Obi-Wan says "Wait a minute. How could this happen? We're smarter than this!" Such a ****ty line.
I was close in certain parts of the movie especially at the end but nothing further. I usually do feel tears trickling down my face during movies these days (It must be my old age ;) ).
ROTK has to be the movie that has really had me broken down. Even the music and Renee Fleming's beautiful voice had me big time. FOTR was the same in some places and others I can't think of at the moment.
Times seen ROTS: 3 (going for a 4th helping tonight).

MY GAWD YEAH!! Been a Star Wars from the very beginning and have been waiting so long to see the events of ROTS! That said, it was heartbreaking to watch! I shed a few tears in the following places:
- Yoda dropping the stick and clutching his heart during the Jedi Purge
- "I HATE YOU!!" followed by "You were my brother, Anakin! I loved you!"
- The look on Obi-Wan's face holding baby Luke as Padme died
- Obi-Wan turning to walk away from giving Luke to Beru
And then the tears fell freely as Beru and Owen looked at the binary sunset complete with the Binary Sunset music! WHAT A MOMENT!!

Yeah, that's what did it for me. After all these years, the circle is complete, and it's the final Star Wars film. After listening to the soundtrack, I guessed what the final moments of the film would be, right up to the final shots of Obi-Wan handing over Luke, and the final shot against the two suns. Needless to say, I guessed right, but that didn't make it any less powerful.
What I thought kinda sucked was Owen, standing there looking up at the suns as though dreaming much like Luke does in ANH, but knowing his fate really gives this sense of futility and mortality.

Nope, didn't cry. But it was definitely the most emotional SW movie.
The only movie I really cried at was "E.T."... man, I was a mess at the end of that one.
I also got pretty emotional at the end of Titanic (yeah, yeah, I know it's supposedly a "chick flick," but I kept thinking, "Wow, that actually happened to real people," same as I would get emotional during a movie about 9/11.)

But when it really touches me is when we see little Master Yoda going into that shuttle and says goodbye to Chewbacca and the other Wookiee . Its that perticular scene that made me almost cry and that music during that moment . :waa:

Yeah I totally agree the Order 66 scene and the scenes with obi professing his brotherly love and padme confronting anakin and all those scenes with anakin crying over what he has done and continues to do was really sad .I almost cried throughout the the whole movie my tears where at the brim of my eyes. To many scenes to count LOL.When I go see it again it may hit me harder taking it in the second time around .I will be able to make sure I didn't miss anything so it might happen . I am a movie crier emotional movies make me cry all the time .Even to see someone get emotional and or crying gets me everytime LOL. Oh yeah the real tear jerking part is mentally thinking of what Anakin is going through that he can not stop what he is doing he is spiraling out of control .

Seeing the jedi slaughtered was very well done by Lucas. It made it a very sad moment. It braught tears to my eyes and Anakin killing the Younglings was a sickening feeling. I really wasn't a bit sorry for him when he did himself in. The drama in this movie was very well done. Lucas created one of the best Star Wars films in 20 years. Its a pitty that the Darkest films was one of the best films in resent sci fi history next to Lord of the rings.

I saw it again today, and I guess it wasn't my girlfriends distraction that kept me from crying. There just weren't any parts moving enough. I can see why the final confontation between Obi and Anakin might cause tears, but personally I think crying over the order 66 scene is ridiculous. We saw about 5 jedi die, none of which we've had any emotional attachment to and they weren't particularly brutal deaths. The most shocking was Aayla Securas but she just kind of lazily threw herself on the floor, it didn't look like she'd just been gunned down.
I think the most emotional moment for me was when Anakin saw Obi Wan standing at the top of the ramp and called Padme a liar for loving him. Also the shot of Owen and Beru looking at the twin suns.. that was quite moving.

I said it braught tears to my eyes. I never said i cried full. It was a very depressing sikening moment. The order 66 part was moving. I think most weren't sure to cry or have anger. Again i'll state it was very well done. Did anyone feel kind of sorry for Dooku for he was most likley used like Anakin was for his reason for turning was Qui Gons death and the jedi not serving more justice for Qui Gons death.

Yeah, I actually thought that line was delivered really well, even though I know a lot of people thought she was horrible. I'll be the first to admit that Natalie was pretty bad in the first two films, but I think she improved drastically in this one.
The Order 66 scene was definitely moving. Oddly, I didn't expect to feel anything during that scene because I didn't at all care about the individual Jedi who were being killed, but the music really carried that scene. It was great to have slow, sad music, rather than the more obvious choice of quick, action-oriented music.
