I've gone through numerous threads searching for an answer, but i cant seem to come up with the time period that the movie is set in. The styles of the actors, as well as the setting of most of the scenes would lead one to believe that it was set in the 1970's. On the other hand; Jules has a cell phone, the wolf drives an NSX, and Christopher Walken talks to "Young Butch" just after the Vietnam war. That evidence would lead one to believe that it was set in the mid 90's.

Does anyone know for a fact the time period it is set in, or is it just another one of the mysteries like the contents of the briefcase.
