The first was terrible. I don't care whether or not they make a sequel, but it definitly doesn't need one.

Didn't the first one do very poorly in theatres? Makes me wonder why they're making this one. But then again, a lot of bad movies get made, and I suppose if a movie costs $50 Million, and it makes at least $51 Million (even if it takes months, which isn't likely) then they've made money on the deal.

Actually, the first one had that all important big opening weekend and has done pretty well on video, so I guess the producers thought a sequel was inevitable. My daughter, 6, loves the DVD, so I guess it hit its target audience.

My son loves the first one, so it apparently appealed to children very well and I know that it sold alot of DVD's.

Remember even awful films tend to make a nice profit after rentals are taken into account.
