View Full Version : Storyline of Halloween 9?

I ran across this on my daily search through the web. I doubt Its real but It's an interesting read anyway...

This source states to have come into ownership of a "pink" draft of Halloween 9. This report is filled with spoilers, so if what they are reporting is true, you may want to think twice before reading on. You have been warned, so here is the report. I have posted the scoopers report exactly as it was sent to me, it has not been edited in any way.

Halloween 9 will go the same way as Halloween 4 as in it doesn't negate anything in the previous movies, but It's still a completely seperate entry. No Thorn, No Laurie (although she does partly drive the story) No Busta Rhymes. The story is about Judith Myers and a secret about her. The Main Character(s) are a 16 year Old Kid called Nathan, His Mom Kathyrn, His Best Friend Ashley and The Town Sheriff.

Basically a Movie is being shot in Haddonfield (there's always a movie nowdays in Horror Movies) about the Myers killings. The Director wants to shoot scenes and pick up shots in the Actual Haddonfield, and The Town, who don't exactly rake in much tourist dough, are convinced to allow them to shoot, for a price.

The Myers House is back, or rather, a setof The Myers house which they have built righton Top of the ruines of The Original House.

Expect a slightly New Look for Michael as the Mask has been redesigned for the movie with it now being white, with red streaks of Blood splatter across it. Naturally, Michael steals the New protomask and uses it in his New killing spree, but Michael now walks around the town un-noticed as everyone assumes it's just a guy from the Movie. There's also a scene where Michael comes face to face.....with Michael Myers. Poor stunt Guy!

Turns out there's A detective in Town(basically the Loomis role) who is currently investigating the Death of one, Laurie Strode, and his search has Led him to Haddonfield and Michael Myers (due to the webcam broadcast). He butts heads with The Local Sheriff, who is currently dating Nathan's Mom (which pisses Nathan off). This is where Judith comes in as The Detective say's that he can't find anything about Judith's Mysterious trip when she was 14.
Basically, turns out Myers has got a New set of Relatives. Yep. Nathan is Myers Great Nephew as Judith became pregnant with His Mother, Kathyrn, but was sent out of the country so not to shame the Family with a 14 year old pregnant daughter.
This is revealed when Nathan and Ashley uncover a secret wing to The Haddonfield Police station which even the Police department didn't know about. Secret Files reveal that Kathyrn (who is killed mid-way through the movie) was Myer's Niece.

Best Thing about the screenplay is The Atmosphere of the Movie. There are a few 'Scream-esque' bits that aren't to my liking, but what sets the Movie apart (and makes it out to be like part 4,my favourite entry) Is the atmosphere of The Town when they find out Myers is actually back.

Michael slaughters most of the Film crew (they damn well better do these ****ing scenes justice because they rock), Add to the fact that Nathan is running around the Town aimless SPOILER* He finds his Mother gutted in His house and runs*END*, It's raining down a flood, they're a vigalanteegroups Hunting Myers (As well as every cop in Haddonfield)and all of The Movie sets, Props, etc are still around the Town making everyone question what is real and what is not.

A Final confrontation happens at 'Smith Grove'and there is even a cute (but small) injoke to The Thorn Plot (Nathan has the symbol on his wrist, but everyone thinks it's a Tattoo) but it's a throw away reference and Nathan's response to wether he wants to be taken to Haddonfield Memorial after his confrontation with Myers is priceless.

Movie Ends as Nathan walks up to his bedroom, looks out the window and surveys the Dozens of Police cars and Reporters on the street, He goes to lie in his bed, turns off the light and reflected in The long Mirror beside his bed Is Myers.

The Most amazing thing about the Halloween movie is.......it comes across as a Halloween Movie. It has a small Scream Vibe such a few in-jokes such as the Merchandising of Myers (ala The Michael Myers Home Security package), but never too much to make it Scream 4. This is going to be THE BEST sequel since Part 4.

So, there you have it, no way of knowing if it is legit, but if it is, you heard it hear first.

The mask description sounds like ass.

Isn't it really time to end this series? I don't understand this urge that these movie companies have. They make a good film, or a couple, and then they just exploit the idea for every last penny. This typically results in 6 or 7 god awful sequels to what was originally an acclaimed movie. It's just stupid.

End rant.

As for the proposed story...seems cheesey and too Scream/New Nightmare like.

The plot above sounds a bit too far fetched but it has some good parts thrown in although walking without being noticed is a bit pointless as I'm sure most movie fans would be surrounding the cast members

Why change the mask. Don't they remember Halloween 5 they tried to change it in that one and it didn't work out so good.

I just wish they would stop making these

WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD!
---------------------------
Now a release date has been set for late July 2005. Also the working title is HalloweeN: Family Reunion. A lot of people working with the script hate this title so it is proberly going to change.

Now the following is the plot I was shown...

David Loomis, since his father’s death has been working at Smiths grove. He took over his father’s files except the files of Michael A. Myers, which were kept hidden. When suddenly the body of John Tate is found, rumours fly that Michael has returned to Haddonfield. Loomis receives a phone call asking for Dr. Sam Loomis, the caller only to find that his son has taken over. Unaware that David has been not been told of Michael Myers infamous reign of terror, the caller tells all. In force, David finds his fathers files on Myers and discovers the last 25 years of the Myers saga. Eager to fulfil his father’s wishes, David goes to Haddonfield, to wait for Michael.

that sounds koolio!

Loomis had a son. Well Michael had one in 6. So why not. you could take any person on this board none that are linked to hollywood and they could make a better movie/script than this. Damn they don't even try anymore.

Spidey , that news blonde posted about the Movie within a movie plot is on quite a few respected movie web sites and No I don't mean AICN , they are the national Enquirer of Movie sites.
It may be truer than you think.

We've checked in with our sources at Dimension and even checked with some other website's sources when we first received this Halloween 9 scoop a few weeks back from Glenn L. that just appeared on Creature-Corner. According to ALL the sources we checked with, it's totally not the script that's being worked on- if there is even a script right now. Sure they (Dimension) could be lying to us and trying to keep it top secret, but before this spirals too much out of control we're trying to keep the air clear. Hopefully some positive news will pop up soon, because this is taking way too damn long!

http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/index.php?Show=2820&Template=newsfull

As of now it seems that it is actually debunked until something more reliable or official is released.

Heres some more info that was sent in recently. Remember, take this with a grain of salt.

A source got in touch with FANGORIA with some news about the ninth HALLOWEEN film, currently in development. "The new movie is called HALLOWEEN: ASYLUM," the scooper tells Fango, "and it’s being written by Matt Venne—whose spec horror script SECOND SIGHT is being produced by Clive Barker’s Seraphim Films—for SUICIDE CLUB’s Sion Sono to make his North American directorial debut. HALLOWEEN: ASYLUM is being set in Smith’s Grove, which became a maximum security penitentiary/asylum after the breakout of ’78. It’s filled with deranged killers and Michael is awaiting execution, harking back to the horror-hospital setting of HALLOWEEN II. This is not going to be some neutered VS. movie, not filled with campy one-liners, etc. Rather, it takes the iconic Michael Myers back to his roots in a very cool setting. It’s really serious/scary/suspenseful in tone, like all the best HALLOWEEN films have been." No one from the HALLOWEEN camp has officially confirmed these details, but we’ll let you know more as we find it out. —Michael Gingold

With Harvey and Bob leaving Miramax and going off to form their own pad, there's a cloud hanging over a certain number of projects they were set to steer.

One of those rumoured to be facing an uncertain future is "Halloween 9", the latest slice'n'dice from the Myers boy. Malek Akkad, from Trancas International Films, slams the rumours though, saying the sequel is as alive as it's central character.

"H9 is happening. We have been seriously delayed due to the recent split of Miramax/Disney. Hopefully, we will be able to make an announcement on our website, Halloweenmovies.com, shortly", he tells Creature Corner.

As for a storyline, there's nothing official yet, but a few possible scenarios can be found on the web. The most recent whispered storyline fixes on Michael Myers as he awaits execution in prison.
