What are some movies that had the sweetest trailers and tv spots but was truly disappointing.
Here are some of mine:
- Dawn of the Dead (remake)- I liked the movie alot but the trailers made it look scarier than it really was.
-Van Helsing- very disappointing; could have been very cool.
Star Wars Episode 1- I could remember almost fainting when I first saw that they were making new star wars movies and when I saw it, I almost fainted because I was so disapointed.

The Hunted-Good trailer, one of the worst movies I have ever seen (definitely one of the worst of 2003)
Braveheart had a crummy trailer, but that movie is one of the best ever made.

Troy and Pearl Harbor
and i thought JP3 was an ok movie.....i have yet to be able to sit through JP2
JP3 is a most excellent B-movie. Shame on whoever doesn't like it.
Recently, Saw had a good looking teaser, but the final product was very underwhelming.

compared to Jurassic park and The lost world, jurassic park 3 is horrible. they didn't even have a completed script when they began filming, they wrote some as they went along, there was no depth...they could have went so many places with this movie and chose to just do running around for 90 minutes. however, the pteranadon scene was most exelent, that sot with it walking out of the mist was very creepy.
I don't think you need much depth for a B-movie. Hell, it had as much or more depth as the other JP movies. Plus it's the funniest JP and the most efficient. I mean, The Lost World drags on and on and on. These sort of movies don't need to be epic length! It's about dinosaurs chasing people... 90 minutes will suffice.

much or more depth?...the movie revolved around a family looking for a lost kid...who some how survived on a dino infested island for 8 weeks, where as many men with guns got wiped out in a matter of seconds.

I hope that the fact that Jurassic Park 4 is being constantly pushed back means they are going to get it right with a story which can rival the first. The first film still remains, in my opinion the best films ever made, for its revolutionary digital animation work as well as story and just being fun to watch. I am a fan of the series, and while JP3 lacked much of what the other films had, it was purely just a good fun movie to watch.

While I don't agree with you about the movie, TTT does have one of the best trailers I've seen. Everytime I watch it, it gets me excited to see the movie.
