I know it is hard to actually give reasons but i think it is time to put up or shut up. I hear very general statements such as "It sucked" and "It was stupid". But absolutely no elaboration. So please explain why you think it sucked or why it was stupid.

That thread is dead and descended into uselessness. This is a fresh start. I am sure that no one can really articualte why they hate the matrix because on the whole they don't like it because either A) they don't get it or B) don't like it because it is popular not to like it.

Maybe it's because they think that the acting was pretty stiff. That or the plot was just ridiculous. Or maybe it was because they just didn't like the movie. That is possible you know.

The first film was alright but the following two were pritty pointless, as far as i am concerned it is just another trilogy that is relying on the original.
the reason i don't like it is that it is very slow and even when it gets to interesting parts they still manage to make it dull and predictable. AND it wouldn't have hurt them to put another bad guy in it instead of agent smith, Who really wants to watch neo kill him Again, and again

"They" should explain why the plot was ridiculous.

How were they pointless? Is it possible at all that you just didn't put any thought into them?
Yeah they didn't put any other bad guys in it except...The Merovingian, The Ghost twins, the other agents, The Architect, sentinels etc

Well I like the movies, but, I'll give it a shot.
It could be viewed as ridiculous for many reasons. One, a man can fly. Gee, that's pretty unordinary right there. Two, you can clone people just by jabbing your hand into them. I would almost call that harassment rather then "a cloning method". Three, the fate of the world is in the hands of Keanu Reeves. I don't like our odds. Four, the people actually believed that the sky was scorched. You can't "scorch" a sky. It's not possible.
But, maybe someone who disliked the films could put it in better perspective for you. I just think that you're too close-minded to see that some people may dislike a film even though you treat it like a God it seems. I'm sure there are movies that you thought sucked that many other people liked. It works both ways.

Right..... ;)
The Merovingian is in the film for less then 25 minutes. The other agents serve absolutely no purpose, other then to provide host bodies for Smith to take over. The Ghost Twins were wasted, they had the potential to be really cool, but, sadly that opportunity was not capitalized on IMO. The Architect was barely a bad guy, he was introduced in the last 15 minutes of Reloaded, and showed up again for the last 3 minutes of Revolutions. I don't have a comment for the Sentinals. They did the job they were meant to do, as did everybody else, but, so many of the villains were wasted and not used to their full potential. I for one really liked the character the Merovingian. I was hoping to see more of him in Revolutions, but, I was disappointed once again.

I agree with Tornado. When the fate of the world relies on Keanu Reeves and his "acting abilities",then....we've already lost.;)

for me i disliked the third movie because for me, if your going to make a trilogy, u need a resolution to the story. At the end, neo just stopped the war for a period of time, he didnt end it. i got pretty sour over that. i wanted to see what it was like to see millions of people wake up out of the matrix.

plus..........i didnt care about the characters in the 2nd and 3rd movies. they were far too wooden. at least in the original they showed some emotion.

ANOTHER MATRIX THREAD?
Why? Some people don't like the Matrix movies! You don't like the LOTR movies, nobody started a bunch of threads defending it. You just won't stop with this Matrix s**t! You love them. I DON'T CARE.

The films were over done, too many underused characters, too symbolic, and too much eye candy.
So many questions were presented then unanswered during the film, or poorly answered and left up to us to decide. I'd rather pay for the movie and leave satisfied, rather than leaving and thinking "what the ***** was that movie about?".

A person can fly in a computer program! Smith isn't cloning he is infecting. You must make contact to infect. Your Keanu reference just makes no sense. Scorched was a figure of speech but i guess for a nitpicker that is reason enough.

Does it really bother you that much that some people don't like the Matrix? Seems a little obsessive and insecure to me...
I have only seen the 1st movie, and that was 4 years ago. And I hated it. A friend of mine just got a new tv, and he was showing me the lobby gunfight scene to show it off, and i realize that I still hate it. The storyline didn't interest me, I didn't care about any of the characters, and I didn't like the style of filming - it was trying to be cool, but it was trying a little too hard and it came off as laughable to me, with the intercutting of quick and slow motion and the bullet time - I wasn't impressed by it then, and I'm not now. You could say it's because i am a girl and I didn't "get" it or whatever, but something about this movie just really rubbed me the wrong way.
damnit i'm sick of seeing these stupid matrix threads made by none other then spike the bloody.
why dont i like the matrix sequels?
the acting sucked.
the dialogue was mediocre.
the story was unoriginal and inconclusive.
the action was overdone and redundant.

Spike, why don't you go to a matrix forum. But please, stop with these threads.
SOME PEOPLE DON'T LIKE THE MATRIX...... Get over it! I have expressed my reason several times.
Why is it you think EVERYONE has to like The Matrix and if they don't like it, its because 1) either they don't get it 2) they dislike it because YOU believe EVERYONE else does
Why is it YOU feel EVERYONE should like the Matrix? Their not perfect movies, but only above average AT BEST.
Stop creating these threads.....

Put up or shut up? Okay. I pick shut up. But not me, you. This thread was obviously started because you're looking for a fight. Calling people out to explain themselves because they didn't like the Matrix. Its their damn business if they didn't like it. If they like it, fine. If they don't fine...but I don't need you antagonizing them...trying to start a fight. So, I'm not giving you a choice. No put up....just shut up.
