Imagine this:
You, out of the 6 billion people inhabiting this crumbling planet of ours, have just been selected for a special mission. While scanning the deep of space, the folks at NASA have stumbled upon a planet, quite close to ours, which seems to be inhabited with intelligent life.
Not wasting any time, the leaders of the free world have combined resources and constructed a vessel. Capable of carrying one person, this interplanetary vehicle will guide one selected representative to the nearby planet. But theres a catch, the trip is one way.
This is where you come into the picture. Thats right! YOU have just been selected to represent the human race! Well done! Due to some reason I won't go into, the only items you can take on your trip are THREE movies. From the sea of films churned out over the last century; some magnificent, some deeply disturbing, and yet others completely forgettable, you must choose only three. Three films that you feel will offer the greatest insights into the human race and culture.
My question to you is this: Which films would you choose, and more importantly, why would you choose them?
