This should be exciting! There will be a new movie coming out soon based on the game Fatal Frame...

Tecmo and DreamWorks Studios announce that both Steven Spielberg and John Rogers are working on the upcoming survival-horror-game-inspired movie.

Tecmo and DreamWorks Studios have announced that the Fatal Frame movie is being fast-tracked. Steven Spielberg is currently working with writer and producer John Rogers on finalizing the script, a director is expected to be named shortly, and casting will begin soon after.

"I was attracted to the idea of doing a classic, old-school haunted-house picture," said Rogers, whose previous credits include "The Core" and "Catwoman". "By focusing, too, on cool Japanese cultural additions and different ghost mythos most North American audiences are unfamiliar with, we can do something unique. None of the rules about the supernatural, the characters, or our audience apply in the Fatal Frame world."

Awesome, I haven't played this game yet, but hope to soon. But I think it would be pretty good, I seen lil clips of it and seen pictures, and new horror flicks are cool, b/c we hardly get any good ones. Plus Steven Spielberg is on the ride, so you know he would get this right on the top of things and make a great movie out of this game. Best movie based on a game I am hoping... Or Silent Hill might be better, we'll see...But I'm happy about this.

Never played the games, but this Rogers guy better do a good job, because The Core and Catwoman aren't exactly films you want to put on your resume.

I played Fatal Frame 2 for a little bit on my brother-in-law's house and it was awsome. But I think they should make a movie off the game The Suffering. It is sort of like Fatal Frame and I think it has a better story. But the Fatal Frame movie should still be cool!
