Don't allow the misleading DVD cover fool you. This is a very nice tale of a young boy searching for God. Wide Awake is not your typical M. Night Shyamalan. It is a nice coming-of-age story that could be considered autobiographical. It's about a young boy from Philadelphia who attends Catholic school and has parents who are doctors. Sounds familiar?

Neither of Alfred Hitchcocks first two movie were Thrilllers either(nor were they popular), then he made the Ultra Popular film The Lodger (1927) and more or less only made thrillers the rest of his career.
