I guess I'll go with Terminator 2 car chases. IMo they were all very good. I can't really think of anymore that REALLY stand out as being great.

The French Connection or Ronin... Couldn't really get into the 'Reloaded one, it was too unrealistic, plus the video-game music that plays with it is enough to put anyone off.

I can't believe I forgot about that one. That is a great chase with a lot of humor IMO. I'm not sure if there was supposed to be humor but I laughed a lot.

I think bullits car chase is overrated, I think the bourne identity was better. also I loved the car chase in reloaded, bad boys II, T2, T3, gone in sixty seconds, ronin, and the rock. Can't think of anymore right now.

The highway scene in Reloaded. Even if you didn't like the film you have to admit that sequence was incredible.

I don't think it was incredible.

the best car chase scene is in the French Connection. I also did like the T3 chase scene, don't know why.

What about the scene in The Dead Pool where Clint Eastwood is trying to get away from a remote control car with a bomb on it , in his car

The thing that makes the Bullitt car chase so great is it's real. There's no kind of stuntwork and stuff like that. It's the real deal. There are no camera tricks, or ramps or stunt drivers. They did all of it with one car, and Steve McQueen did the driving himself. Not to mention they're hauling ass through San Francisco at 75 mph through most of it.

I've seen better "real" car chases on the news.

exactly. i watched bullitt a few months ago and i was amazed, i mean i loved it a few minutes into the chase, and then my dad came in and told me how it was all real, all 120 mph (or 75, i dont know exactly the speed but hey it was fast as hell), steve mcqueen, no stunt man, no camera tricks, and i was like "wow" and plus it has my fav car in it, 1968 ford mustang fastback, they dont get much better.

ronin was a great chase cause there were very few camera tricks. there werent many quick cuts like in michael bay car chases (but i will say the rock chase was nice). U could actually sit back and enjoy some great driving.

The bourne identity had a good concept with the mini but it was too perfect. He was going around corners and missing cars by millimeters while avoiding the cops and other obstacles. it just didnt sit right but still a decent chase.
